The Parking Control Officer patrols an assigned area of the City and controls vehicular parking by issuing tickets to parking violators or by ordering vehicles to be towed. The job requires the incumbent to walk for the majority of every shift, and this requires sufficient physical stamina.
Qualifications include Grade 12, a minimum of one year previous experience working with the public in a regulatory field as well as formal training in customer service and conflict resolution.
This position is scheduled for an 8.5 hour shift between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Saturday.
As a condition of employment, this position is required to obtain and maintain a clear RCMP Police Information Check for offences related to the position. A valid full privilege class 5 BC driver’s license is also required (or out of province equivalent).
